She has interned for the Cross Cultural Center and Asian Pacific Islander American Searchlight Directory, served as vice-chair for ASUCD Ethnic and Cultural Affairs Commission, directed the 2011 UC Davis Vagina Monologues, and is currently working as a Peer Adviser. |

Veronica Serrato vserrato@ucdavis.edu I am Veronica Serrato, a second year, Political Science major here at UC Davis and originally from Gardena, CA. in the Los Angeles county. This year I am working for the Cross Cultural Center on campus as the Danzantes del Alma co-student manager. Danzantes del Alma (DDA) is the folklorico group on campus which dances traditional Mexican Folk. Folklorico has become essential to my life, it connects me with my roots, it teaches me about my people, it helped me meet some amazing people, it has allowed me to help others and most of all it is my escape from anything and everything. One can say that it has become the Love of my life. :) |
