The following are frequently asked questions concerning S.o.C.C. If you have any other questions or concerns that are not listed below please email socc.ucd@gmail.com.
Q: When is the conference?
A: The Student of Color Conference 2011 will be held on November 11 through 13 2011 on the University of California, Davis campus. The information on the specific buildings in which the events will be held will be posted soon.
Q: Who may attend the S.o.C.C.?
A: Everyone. You do not need to identity as a student of color in order to attend. Allies are welcomed! While this conference is hosted by a UC campus every year, please keep in mind that all students are welcomed (including UCs, CSUs, Privates, Community Colleges, High Schools and out-of-state schools).
Q: How much does it cost to attend?
A: Please see our "Registration" page for more information.
Q: Can I volunteer at the S.o.C.C.?
A: YES! Anyone from all campuses may volunteer. Please click on the " Volunteer" tab for more detailed information.
Q: What meal times will be provided at the conference?
A: On Saturday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided. Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday will also be included as part of your registration fee. If you arrive early on Friday, check out some of the great Davis downtowan resturants.
Q: Do you accomedate individuals with special needs?
A: Of course! If you are in need of any special accomodations (i.e. sign interperter, large print material, wheel chair accessability, etc.) please state this in in your online registration form. Feel free to email us if you have any more concerns or questions.
Q: Will gender neutral bathrooms be available?
A: Gender neutral bathrooms will be provided. Stay tuned for a detailed map on gender neutral bathroom accessability!
